Liquid steel smelting site

The liquid steel smelting site is designed for melting liquid steel from metal charges and transferring them to the steel refining and alloying site on an induction furnace. Necessary auxiliary equipment: - stalkovshi - 5 pcs. - trolley for transporting steelworms - 2 pcs. - bridge cranes 62-tn - 1 pc. - bridge cranes 32-tn - 2 pcs.

A brief description of the technological process.
A bucket with scrap metal is loaded into an induction furnace using a bridge crane. Close the lid of the oven and turn it on. The metal melts due to electromagnetic induction (the rapid rotation of electrons, and the friction that occurs on the surface of metals, turns into thermal). Melting occurs within 50-60 minutes. The metal release temperature is 1560-1580 oC. The furnace capacity is 20tn/h.

The section of alloying and refining of steel is necessary for the preparation of liquid metal from an induction furnace for further casting to the UNRS. The plot includes : - a complex steel processing unit-1 piece. - a cart for transporting steel-1 piece

A brief description of the technological process. A steel bucket with liquid metal from an induction furnace is installed on a mobile trolley or transported to the AKOS site using an overhead crane. Argon is connected to the stalkovsh to mix the liquid metal. Next, the lid with graphite electrodes is lowered. The metal is heated during arc discharge (when the electrodes come into contact with the metal mirror). At the same time, alloying elements (ferrosilicon, ferromanganese, coke, etc.) are added to the metal to obtain a given grade of steel. The melt release temperature is 1670oC.

Section of continuous casting of steel

A section of continuous casting of steel is necessary to obtain blums with the following dimensions: 150*150*3300 mm and 150*165*3300 mm. Steel casting takes place at a continuous steel casting plant. The steel bucket with liquid metal is installed on a lifting and turning stand. Liquid metal is poured through an intermediate ladle into crystallizers, where products of a specific shape are obtained by intensive cooling of the primary and secondary cooling zones. Next, the specified blum lengths are set on the gas cutting machine. Finished semi-finished products are sent to the adjustage site.
